Be a Blood Donor
by Bryan on November 16th, 2006
We all have our sloppy riding days where we pick a wrong line and crash leaving some blood for the mountain bike gods. Thats what we call an involuntary dismount. Its something you clearly didnt want do do on purpose and hurt like a son of gun.
Then there are days like today where we send Bruce, to give some blood on purpose. He doesnt mind so much cause he doesnt crash so he has plenty of blood to spare for a good cause.
Mountain bikers are a healthy bunch who beside saving trails should also think about saving lives. Especialy with events like 9/11 and the Katrina Huricane, you never know when people will need emergency blood supplies.
To find out where you can donate, visit the American Red Cross or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543).
Bruce likes to sport the Evomo Blood Donor t-shirt while they drain some rich red blood from his meaty arm.
