More FRM goodies

I love getting packages. Being Team Director for the Evomo Mountain Bike Team means I get a lot of them too. Our friends at FRM just sent us out two nice sized boxes full of super cool lightweight parts. I love the FRM stuff. Not only is it light, it is just beautiful to look at. The Italians are all about style, I dig that.

I wasted no time in installing my new WEB-Bar 32 Enduro Carbon riser bars on my 29er single speed. Of course I had to have the matching WEB-STEM CF Ti carbon stem in Works Gold. The Italians also love the gold and black thing which may not be for everybody but I dig that too. So far the bars have been an awesome upgrade. The 32 mm clamping section makes these bars very stiff and the carbon defintely dampens some of the trail vibration which feels great on those long rides. I also am really liking the wider 660 mm width. I had much narower bars on before the FRM’s and the extra leverage with the wider bars, while not having any unwanted flex, is a huge advantage on a single speed. I topped, or ended, all of this off with some super light weight FRM foam grips. These are nice and comfy on the long rides and grip well when wet.

I also couldn’t pass up the stylin’ FRM long sleeved Winter Race Top. I love the colors and recently it has still been in the 30s and 40s here in the mornings and my thin Los Angeles blood doesn’t like that cold weather stuff so good technical wear makes me very happy.

There were many more things in the box but I will save that for another post.
