Evomo DH Riders Dominate the Podium
by Bryan on March 29th, 2007
Last weekend at the final race of the Southridge Winter down hill series, Evomo rider Shea Jordan grabbed 1st place which launched him to 3rd place overall for the series in points.
Also this weekend out in Pennsylvania, Evomo rider Evan Fetterolf grabbed 1st place in the Adult group and the Kamikaze at Seven Springs Ski Resort, PA which holds the race every year in March for their spring carnival. It was a dual slalom format, also with a kamikaze race at the end. “The course this year was really short and tight so it was a lot of sliding down the mountain instead of riding” said Evan.
Next stop for Shea and the rest of the DH Crew will the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, CA. Be sure to stop by the Evomo booth #150 at Sea Otter and check out our new Spring designs and get some stickers and posters.

[…] July 12th, 2007 Posted by: bryan I headed down to Crested Butte, CO on Fri June 22 to take part in round three of the Mountain States Cup series, the Wildflower Rush. Not only was this important as I missed round two in Angel Fire, NM, but also I went to H.S. there so its always nice to catch up with old friends. Of course the weekend did not start out as planned, I was taking care of my bosses dog, and as soon as we got to the campsite, he threw up in my car, missing the rubber mat by about three inches. This problem only compounded when I found out that I was too late for a campsite and would have to sleep in my car. After an extremely cold, unsatisfying sleep I awoke ready to finally get down to the buisness of gettin down. The course was similar to years past, but the guys and girls at cbmr always do a good job of changing it up a bit, and this year was no different. The course was about 11 miles with 1800 feet of climbing per lap, peaking at about 10500 feet. The race was two laps and by the time we were ready to start it was already sunny and gorgeous. I surprised myself a bit at the start and actually had the lead up to about mile six or seven and then a little thing called downhill happened, but it was short and once we started climbing again I settled in to a nice rythym, I crossed the line in either third or fourth, but couldnt sustain it. After laboring for most of the second lap, I came across the line relieved to say the least. Unfortunatly, I could not crack the top five, finishing in sixth. The finish did put me in third overall for the series, though. I think the blast the mass will suit me a bit better as the climb is brutal from the start. It gives me a chance to strech out the field a bit before the downhill. The course will only be 12 miles with 3800 feet of climbing per lap. Hopefully I wont get my skirt caught in my chain, as Matt Shriver likes to say. On Sunday I had a chance to ride lower loop and green lake before watching EVOMO rider Shea Jordan rip the downhill. I think he ended up in fifth, not sure, but definitely a good ride. Lower Loop is a super easy trail but its awesomely fun and gorgeous. If your not sure what the trail is, check out the cover of the Colorado Cyclist spring mag. Anyway, all good things have to end (at least in my experience) and I was brought back to the real world when I hit 470 in Denver with all the traffic and horns and fingers flying. The biggest intersection in Crested butte is a four way stop. Ha. Hope that will suffice until next time. -Connor […]
