The regular Sunday ride is back
by Bryan on May 27th, 2007
Whew! 2007 has been a very busy year for all of us. After a whirlwind tour of what seemed like a race every weekend since the season started, we have had few chances to get out and enjoy the regular Sunday trail ride here in California. Today was pretty low key which is nice. Rob, Canadian Rob and I (Bryan) – just the three of us headed out to an old favorite…
Whiskey 50 new scars and good times
by Travis on May 23rd, 2007
First off let me say what A great event this was, and I would recommend it for any faithful mountain bike masochist, looking for some good physical and mental anguish. On to the ride.
We started up some nasty climbs out of Prescott up to 8500feet. I started fighting through all of the jo jo road racers who blew themselves up at the start but couldn’t hang in the single track. after about 6 miles of this came 15 inch water breaks about ten feet apart for about 2 miles. Apparently the aborted child project of some misguided trail project, which now became 2 miles of hell for all who sought to cross. After A brief wreckless descent into A canyon and past the first aid station. I started feeling my oats ripping down the double track to skull valley…
I went to the Whisky 50, but all I got was this cool sun burn.

Riding 50 miles sounds easy enough right? Well I guess it isn’t that tough it’s just a matter of what you’re riding, who you’re riding with and the terrain you’re covering. Those seem like simple enough variables to adjust for, I mean after all I ride with some fast guys on the weekends, we ride 30 – 40 miles on Saturdays and heck the terrain we cover is tough it is the desert after all we got rough country in spades and there are rocks aplenty. So with this in mind I approached the
No hiding at Castaic
by Rob Blue on May 20th, 2007
I just finished repairing most of the damage from the XC race at Castaic today. Fixing the bike was fairly easy but fixing my conditioning (both physical and mental) is going to take a while.
Schadenfreude!
by Travis on May 19th, 2007
No matter how many times I do it I want to do it again. If you ride you do it to. You like doing it for the thrill, and for the ecstasy, you like how it feels when you peak and when your low. You think about getting it again all the time.
We all love doing it as long as our stamina can take us. I like pushing it till I feel like exploding then backing off so I can finish the job. Its painful at times and funny at others, but when the moment is right , there is no denying it’s the best thing on earth.
How you may ask , “how can what you love become painful? One simple word
Arizona State Finals
by Matthew Connors on May 17th, 2007
Last weekend I had state finals, It was the hardest race of the year. The temp was 90 degrees and it was at 5000ft, which is high for me. My race was 22.6 miles with 3200ft of clibming. WOW like I said – hard.
So I was sitting at the start line getting ready to go and give it all I have for the final time. Before the race started I was 7th in the overall points and know that was it. So the gun goes off and it’s time to kick some ass. The first lap down and I’m felling great. But the second lap comes around and I want to quit. I was in some pain and that was the half way point. The third lap I just got though it and it wasn’t pretty at all. In the feed zone I wanted to stop again but I caught someone in my class, so that was like my second wind. My legs had nothing left in them, it was so hard to turn
The Riding In Argentina

Well I have been working around the clock getting the DH and free ride trails ready for the following season down here. This weekend there are a lot of people coming over to make a DH Freeride Movie that will be posting on
Takahashi and Miller are DH Machines

Our buddies and downhill teammates Michael Takahashi and Brett Miller have been some of the busiest guys on the Evomo team. So far this season it seems that they have been racing every weekend with out a break. Recently both Miller and Takahashi were in Oregon racing in 2 separate races this past weekend.
Who doesn’t want three more inches?
by Clint Hosman on May 3rd, 2007
Ask any downhiller what three more inches has done for them, heck they went way beyond three inches, and from the looks of things especially the ladies enjoy watching them ride way more then us skinny XC guys. Who couldn’t use three more inches? You may ask though, Clint, what good would three more inches
