Schadenfreude!

No matter how many times I do it I want to do it again. If you ride you do it to. You like doing it for the thrill, and for the ecstasy, you like how it feels when you peak and when your low. You think about getting it again all the time.
We all love doing it as long as our stamina can take us. I like pushing it till I feel like exploding then backing off so I can finish the job. Its painful at times and funny at others, but when the moment is right , there is no denying it’s the best thing on earth.
How you may ask , “how can what you love become painful? One simple word “schadenfreude German, from Schaden damage + Freude joy: meaning enjoyment obtained from the troubles of others. How dos this relate to doing it? Well who doesn’t like a little pain with their pleasure. Otherwise we wouldn’t do it like A bunch of co dependant junkies. In fact I will submit this Formula. ¼ pleasure + ¾ pain = schadenfreude I know this applies to me. When I finished the state champ race In Prescott this weekend I had a quarter cup of empty and three quarters cup of nothing. I had to take the magic bullet that seems to always bring me back to life, salt and vinegar chips, and coke. Knowing I was able to walk away from that one without an iv was A good thing; because some didn’t, and some didn’t finish.
I ended in 15th place with the pro/semi pro mix. In the end scheme of things challenges seem devastating at the time, but I take satisfaction in knowing others suffered like I did, and take pleasure from pain.
