It is my off season here in Arizona, but Im on my bike more then ever. I was talking to one of the guys that is moving into my class next year, and he made me so mad. He said that he is going to win state next year and win some of the little races that are coming up. But I told him that he was mistaken Im going to win – not him. Talk about a big motivation!

What he doesnt know is that Ive been on the bike every other day and going to the gym on the off days. He is going to get a big wake up call that first race. Im going to be burning up those Kenda tires…

Park Tool USA!

by Rob Blue on July 27th, 2007

I have done the majority of the work on my own bikes (and the neighborhood kids as well) for a long time. My first job was actually wrenching for Dino’s Cyclery back in the suburbs of Chicago. I have long appreciated the fact that the right tool for the job makes all the difference in the world and a great tool will last a lifetime. That being said I am super excited to announce that Park Tool USA is now a sponsoring partner of the Evomo Mountain Bike Team.

Training for what exactly

by Sedrik Vomir on July 25th, 2007

Bike gamers training with the evomo hurl t-shirt

I am thinking about racing the upcoming Rim Nordic mountain bike race. I cant wait! I have been training very hard for this. All my hard work and eating right is about to pay off. Yeah sure it is! If you have been keeping up with this blog, then you know how hard I have really been training. If you are not new to this blog then you know how funny that sounds because I never post any stories about my training – because I dont train.

I dont even show up to the races half the time. Its not something I am exactly proud of, its just a fact of my existence, I think. Its not even something I do on purpose. Ok so the last race, I know I was supposed to go and work the feed zone for the guys, but you gotta understand the Kenda girls are mighty…

Evomo Mountain Bike Rider Jake Davidson Curse of the Dark Hollow

(Part I): Curse of the Dark Hollow.

by Jake Davidson [Evomo Sponsored Rider]

So last weekend I drove out to Michaux State Forest near Carlisle, PA to race the Curse of the Dark Hollow. This race is billed as the toughest endurance course on the East Coast, and let me tell you, it delivers. Here is a race report:It was early. The race started at 7:00AM, something I’m going to have to get used to if I am going to do more endurance events. No big deal though, except

Brett Miller is definitely a unique individual with the strength to recover from injuries more serious than you can imagine. Recently, Brett was awarded the Purple Heart for being injured in combat while serving for the US Army in Iraq. Despite the extent of his injuries, he has recovered enough to be able to race downhill mountain bikes!

by Rob Blue on July 16th, 2007

Racing up at Rim Nordic this past Sunday was eye opening. I have heard about their summer series for years but never got around to racing up there. It turns out that was a big mistake. The Rim Nordic series should be on every Southern California racers list.

Kenda Junkie

by Rob Blue on July 13th, 2007

I think I have as many, if not more, Kenda tires than my local bike shop. Have I gone into the bikes shop business? No way, it’s just a matter of when I find something I really believe in I tend to go a bit overboard.

Mountain States Cup Report

by Bryan on July 12th, 2007

Conor Shreve at Crested Butte, CO

I headed down to Crested Butte, CO on Fri June 22 to take part in round three of the Mountain States Cup series, the wildflower rush. Not only was this important as I missed round two in angel fire, nm, but also I went to H.S. there so its always nice to catch up with old friends. Of course the weekend did not start out as planned, I was taking care of my bosses dog, and as soon as we got to the campsite, he threw up in my car

One thing about going on rides in Pennsylvania or for that matter anywhere in New England is that you need to have lots of spare change for the toll roads. This particular ride cost us $4.50 round trip, plus gas. Allen and I drove about 50 minutes north east of West Chester and headed out to
