Today was in the 90’s and had about twice the people and hustle as yesterday in Bootleg Canyon. The lines for the shuttle truck were quite long all day long and the smell of BBQ was lingering all day.
It is always fun to wander around and take in the sights and sounds of the “bike crowd”. There seems to be the same conversation every 5 feet.
Today there was a great showing of cycling clubs and a lot more media than yesterday as well. I decided to snap a load of photos today of the stuff I didn’t get around to yesterday.
Lezyne was out in full force with a crazy set up for any bike with compartmented bag to fit all their tools and pumps
Tomac keeps making some cool bikes that are seemingly an all around bike
I saw this on a bike that was wandering around. It was a machined spring loaded seatpost that was adjustable with a brake lever. I will try and get more info on this tomorrow

I have always dug the lines of IBIS bikes and the flat finish is catchy too

The carbon Mojo from IBIS was glistening and being begged to get picked up. it was sort of like a guessing contest. in the few minutes of talking with the crew I bet 20 people picked it up and said, “wow thats light” I still dont know what it weighs

I have always liked crazy bar designs and uber light wheels.

light weight folders for the travellers

When I saw this bike and had asked the weight, I didn’t believe him so I had to put it on a scale. He was right, if you have to ask how much it costs you dont have enough.

Bionicon’s uber tactical brawler frameset

Titus busting into the carbon frames.

The sheek new slimmed down DHR from Turner with a polished rear.

If anyone knows about how to build a bike it would have to be Mr. Zinn

Knolly has got a gnarly 4X4 type rear linkage that looks pretty burly

Flame job over carbon on a tandem of all things, I like ……

I gave these a test ride, couldn’t tell I was riding around on balls and I think it would be a great set up in the gnarly rocks or major flat prone areas way away from the trail. I forgot to ask how much it weighs.

I rode these, liked them, they also have 3 different types of pins that you can change according to shoe or riding conditions

This pump was the coolest thing I have seen in a compact pump.

It has it’s own pressure guage and works on both presta and shrader.

Troy Lee helmets with new colors and schemes

Ellsworth mountain tandem was the coolest “want” for the demo. I really wanted to ride this thing down a trail by myself and see how much drift is possible

King’s new 1.5 inch line of headsets, any color to match as well.

Surly’s bike tire unicycles, odd though none were tested.

Foes seems to have a way of getting my attention with the pure mirror polish job.

Pivot has got some really well built bikes, I rode two of thier bikes during the demo and had to raise and eyebrow at how well they rode.

Listening to this guy for an hour or so was pure comedy and a smattering of puns.

Stay tuned for more on the indoor show starting tommorrow,
peace, brett
