Michael Takahashi is the latest rider to join the Evomo DH Team for 2008. Recently he and Brett Miller both won the overall points in the beginner/sport FOX Racing SHOX Downhill category at the Nationals at Sugar Mountain. This is a great accomplishment for both Takahashi and Miller and its an awesome motivator for taking it to the next level in the 2008 season.
The other day we had a chance to learn a bit about what Michael Takahashi has been up to and where he is going. He always loved riding bicycles as a kid and grew up riding BMX bikes and building jump ramps with his friends. Here is a little interview…
Old bikes still go fast.
by Clint Hosman on September 19th, 2007

So here in AZ you have to get out early to beat the heat in September. Yea it sucks but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger….and angrier like say when you and your training partner get jumped by 20 roadies rolling on tubular tires and 7000 dollar bikes. She was airlifted to Denver Health Hospital, where she underwent 7 hours of surgery to correct massive trauma in her lower back. She also has a C-7 fracture which was deemed stable prior going into surgery.

by Rob Blue on September 13th, 2007

It keeps me from getting distracted by all of the new carbon bike propaganda. Sure, I’ve kept up with the news on all of the carbon bikes out there but as of right now, for the money, you really can’t find a better XC rig than the Nitrous.
The SoCal Heatwave has Passed

Yesterday Rob and I hit Chesebro without our portable air conditioning units. Since the over 100 degree heat wave has passed, we felt we didn’t really need the extra weight. Last weekend was unbearable and has Travis from Arizona posted, it was like hot enchiladas in our bike shorts…
