Brad and I headed out at 8am to the JPL trail (aka: Brown Mtn/El Preito). Its a tough 4 mile climb up to the saddle and then a really fun and technical descent dodging poison oak and deer. Today we did not get any of that, instead we arrived geared up only to find a huge yellow and red sign and a small group of guys debating if they should go ahead and ride anyway. I really dont understand why we have so many rules in sports. Look at the NFL. A game we call football but we dont use our feet except during the kick off? I am confused, shouldn’t that be called handball? In Europe we have football not soccer, football and we actually use our feet to play. Okay thats another conversation.
The NFL has so many rules and the games take so long to play its ridiculous. Much like baseball its no wonder that when I go to baseball games here in LA I spend the whole time eating and talking to my friends and only looking up to see what happened when the crowed goes nuts and then its back to bull shitting about how frustrating it was to drive 2 hours in traffic only to get here and pay $30 to park. WTF! Hockey, rugby and football (soccer) are the only real sports with mountain biking beating…
