I just got my IMBA membership kit in the mail the other day. IMBA is the International Mountain Bike Association. They create and preserve trails worldwide and keep access open for us to ride them. IMBA has prevented countless trails from being closed to mountain biking and have even opened some trails where…
Problem: Cold. Solution: Look more like a Super Hero.
by Clint Hosman on December 27th, 2007

With the weather having turned cold here in AZ at long last I though I would put the question out there to everyone what you all put on as far as clothing goes to keep training through the cold. I know there are some of you out there in the mid west and Northern California that have a lot colder weather then I do in AZ. I always have a hard time motivating myself to get out there and train when I know I will be freezing my Bizzals off for a…
On Holiday in Sedona
by Bryan on December 23rd, 2007

Well, the end of 2007 nears and after a year of working my but off it was about time to get the heck out of Los Angeles and find a place far away with a more relaxed vibe. After a list of places that included Colorado, Hawaii and even San Diego – which was immediately vetoed due to the lack of exquisite mountain bike trail access and it being to much like the pit of LA – the choice was Sedona, AZ. Ideal because of the 1 day drive, serene vistas, plentiful mountain biking and of course new age healing hikes to vortexes. I dont even want to explain what a vortex is, cause I still dont know. All I do know is there is one at …

Race: Black Jack, Breakfast Buffet a GO-GO.
by Clint Hosman on December 13th, 2007
So I decided to give the inaugural Dawn to Dusk race put on by DCB Extreme Adventures a try. As I am planning to do Old Pueblo a try this year I thought it would be a good warm up act as well as give me a change to try some new strategies for training a try. My new theories are experimental though so try them at your own risk.
My pre race training for this one broke from my normal retain as I knew I would need extra strength and mental fortitude to get through. This new plan consisted of eating as much food as humanly possible at the MGM Grand breakfast buffet…

Holiday Bash with the MtBikeRiders.com Crew
by Bryan on December 12th, 2007
Last weekend Greg and I were invited to the MtnBikeRiders.com Holiday party. We drove out to Moes house and got their just in time to take advantage of the bountiful spread of delicious food, treats and all kinds of high sugar and cholesterol ridden goodies. Mmmmm yum! Thats what I love about this time of year. I can just stop riding, which I have successfully been doing (or not doing) for almost…
I think we need bring the Ruckus to Mountain Biking
by Travis on December 10th, 2007

I watched the Mayweather vs. Hatton fight this weekend and decided we need more Ruckus in Mountain Biking.
What am I talking about biking is a gentlemans sport you say. Well envision an event where, theres a lot of smack talk/ drama. Like Marcellus and Ben Hur, like bikers with riding crops beating each other. We need that Announcer guy to come down to the start of each race, and do his Lets get ready To Rumble. Then we can have real obstacles like having to Bunny hop a muddy pit filled with Rabid Badgers. I think anything involving angry wild animals can only…
