Urban Adventure on the Fullerton Loop

Last Saturday, Clint Hosman (Semi-pro XC/Enduro racer) from the Evomo Team was out from the Phoenix, AZ area to check out the mouse and sneak a ride in. The MtnBikeRiders.com guys were more than happy to lead a ride on the infamous Fullerton Loop which is just a few minutes from Dland. RL and Moe often refer to it on their blog and it serves as the backdrop to many of their product tests and reviews. I was honestly looking forward to checking this route out.
Urban adventure it was. Its borderline impossible to find your way on this with out am experienced guide. We meet at the cort house and from there we headed out along a common trail used by joggers, walkers, and one lone cyclocross racer who passed us twice and ran up the side of an embankment past the graffiti ridden walls of a dam we were near.
As we cross streets and bunny hopped curbs we headed thru many different neighborhoods. Clint and I agreed that there looked to be a high quantity of cougars in some areas. At one point… Greg almost puked. Thats pretty standard when riding with him.
RL was pimping the Pricepoint.com jersey as he demonstrated how to hitchhike your way across to another section of trail. Fun times, especially after the motorcycle cop watch us all dodge cars like frogger as we cut our way across a busy street. He just noded as we all rode by… he saw we were with Evomo… its cool like that.
