Cheeseboro Canyon Ride Report
by Bryan on February 18th, 2008
We got most of the local Evomo team together for an 8am sunday ride out at Cheeseboro Canyon. It was great to get a chilly winter ride in and sport the new Evomo 08 Team Kits (thanks Pactimo). In attendance were Rob, Brandon, Jon, Brad, Cooper, Mr. Bill and myself. We did an easy 13 mile loop… well easy for those guys. Myself on the other hand was lagging big time. All I can say is too much work and too little play is no way to spend my days.
Rob climbing the wall…
A minor wound for Brad…
Cooper showed how his serious moto-x skills transfer into mountain biking…
Rob, Brandon and Mr. Bill chat about the mental deficiencies of USA cycling…
Brad, Jon, Brandon and Rob figure racing is cool as long as there is a pancake breakfast afterwards…
…heading back from China Flats to the Cheeseboro trail head.
all in all it was good to get out and ride… blow out those lungs and get invigorated for an awesome 08 season.catch ya at the Fontana Southridge race this weekend.

It was a good time even though I look like I am going to hurl in that one photo. A bit cold at the start but the sun did come out while we were hitting the single track at China Flats. Funny story: I made a comment while we were regrouping after climbing up to China Flats about how the Bell Canyon fire road up to the cow pasteur was too steep to ride in some parts and some old guy that was sitting there with two young kids says”I disagree, we ride up that all of the time.” He was obviously full of shit or suffering from dementia. I personally think he was screwing with me because he was frightened by our bad ass team kits.

Looks like some pretty good weather compared to what we’ve got going on in Northern Minnesota right now. Lucky!

Emma, which part of Minnesota? I live in Duluth and there is some really good riding here. The new kit is super cool. I really want to post some pics of the winter riding here, because believe it or not it’s very good. You can really fly on the snowmobile trails when its cold. The trails are like side walks. If I could only figure out how to post.
