Motorist VS Cyclist Road Rage in Los Angeles

This story is seriously messed up. I have never heard of a driver taking his car and cuting in front of a group of cyclists and slaming on his brakes… causing one rider to go thru the back window!
Absolutely ridiculous.

You would think out of all people, a former ER doctor would have some sense of how much damage a 3500 pound car can do to a person on a bicycle. I guess not. How cowardly. What a sad excuse of a man. I’m sure he will buy his way out of jail time since he’s a rich white guy in Los Angeles.
I wish Ron and Christian a speedy recovery. My heart goes out to them and their families… I believe Ron puts it very well,”We’ve got to work together to prosecute this guy to the full extent of the law before he kills somebody!”
For some reason, people who drive luxury cars feel more entitled to the road than others. I’m always in the look out for BMW and MBZ drivers, they could be really douche bags.
Im all about public beatings as an immediate consequence to such incidents. Reminds me of an incident where I got into a fight with two high school kids who hit me as they drove by.
Get that guy an Evomo jersey and on the Evomo street fighting/riding training program.
This is the reason I want to get the hell out of SoCal…Log onto to KTLA.com and watch the video on this incident and listen to what local residents actually have to say. I will bring the Ruckus to that neighborhood!
I just read this on Velonews.com. What a f@ckin joke. I have heard of plain stupidity, not looking or whatever, but blatently passing to then slam on the brakes. Somebody does that to me they better hope I can’t walk cause I will bring da ruckus. HAPPY RIDING SOCAL BOYS! You’ve got some brass.
I read about this the day after it happened, and I was pissed! What a moron, hope that guy gas to pay for his stupidity!

Not that I take it to the extremes, but I don’t think there’s any hazard on the road that pisses me off more than bicyclists. Stay the f*** in the bike lane or pull the f*** over when I need to pass you, you’re not a car, and if you cant go as fast as one get out of my way. k thx. Oh and I live in LA too, he’ll only get 1/10th of his sentence, the jails here are too full.

It happened to a peleton that I was riding with last year. A woman did a dangerous pass around us, cut in right in front of us then slammed on the brakes. There were a few crashes, but luckily no injuries.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of a#$%holes like Matt above who believe that they have every right on the road and don’t care if the law classes us as vehicles too with every right to be on the road. We pay taxes too.
