Jose Made Me Do It
by Left Leg Greg on July 24th, 2008
I went riding today even though I was not feeling well. My friend and I decided that we should climb Cholla Hill in Aliso Woods.
The one person I went riding with was the person I said I would never ride with again was Jose. He can make me do things I would normally not do. He is either crazy or makes me that way so then I think he is crazy. He some how ends up right behind and inside my camelbak the whole time.
Riding with Jose can be dangerous and exciting both at the same time. I want to say I recommend it but at the same time I do not condone it. It can be dangerous to your health. If you enjoy riding and want to go faster but don’t have the balls then riding with Jose can give you the balls but not necessarily the coordination or the skills.
There are only two ways to go faster cut the brake lines or ride intoxicated. Actually there is a third way and that is practice but you have to have time and energy and who wants to do that?
The cool thing about ridding buzzed is that you let go of our fears the bad thing about letting go of all your fears is that when you crash you don’t care but once you have crashed you have no idea how badly hurt you are until the next morning.
The easiest way I have found to hone my skills is to ride buzzed but as long as there are no cops around because you can get a DUI for riding a bicycle. Seriously, cause when I was in Norfolk, I almost got a DUI while riding my bike from the bar back to my apartment. I don’t know maybe the cops are afraid you are going to run over a hiker or pedestrian. If you hit a hiker that’s pretty good in my book because those guys can move fast when you come barreling down on them at high rates of speed.
I figure you can kill two birds with one stone: party and ride at the same time. So the next time someone says you want to party you say sure let me get my camel back and my bike and we can party all night.
Until till next
time keep the rubber side down.
