Evomo Rider Profile: Greg Healy

Greg Healy from Rancho Santa Margarita (aka RSM) is one of our newest DH sponsored riders for 2009. We learned a few cool things about Greg including that he plays Lacrosse. Greg says the best thing about Rancho Santa Margarita isn’t the margaritas but rather that the places to mountain bike are endless.

EVOMO: So whats your current bike set up?
HEALY: I have an 05 Kona Stinky frame with Marzocchi 888 VF on the front, and a Fox DHX 5.0 on the rear. Avid juicy 5 and shimano saint brakes. Kenda nevegal tires, funn fatboy handlebars, azonic dunce saddle, odi rouge lock-on grips, atomlab G.I. pedals, e-13 bashguard and chainstay.

EVOMO: Whats your favorite trail?
HEALY: My favorite trail to ride is called Telonics in Aliso Woods. It is a super fast downhill with some pretty technical rock sections, and then it spits you out to a bus that shuttles us back to the top.

EVOMO: Whats a cool thing about RSM?
HEALY: There are a lot of places where there are random jumps built. RSM has lots to do besides bike, there are tons of places to hang out with friends including the beach once in a while. Plus the ladies are all over me, and my DH friends, just because we shred so freakin hard on our bikes. hahaha!

EVOMO: Do you train much?
HEALY: I do lacrosse conditioning three times a week, lift weights, run, and do other exercises that help with DH racing.
EVOMO: What were your thoughts when you first checked out the Evomo brand?
HEALY: I thought that they made some pretty sick stuff, and I wanted a sponsorship. I would have to say the Braincase shirt is my favorite.

EVOMO: What would Jesus do?
HEALY: Jesus would probably bring the rukus!
