The Scharn Update
by William Walden Scharninghausen VII on January 20th, 2009
Hey Guys!
Whats up, I’m writing this right now to just give a little update about whats going on in my life.
Basically, I’m trying some new stuff, I’m currently rebuilding a hardtail, and trying to add some new dirt jumping tricks to my arsenal of riding skills. Right now I’m working on perfecting my supermans,. which are coming algo okay, but they are rather hard to learn on dirt with only a downhill bike. Basically the freeriding is going good, as of right now if its big and I find, I’m probably hitting it, starting to run out of hucks. Also the spinning classes are going great, and I can feel the power in my legs (I’m jumping higher now too…dunked on 9.5′ hahahah).
But right now all is going great and I can not wait to start racing, hopefully at Fontana in March to open up the season. Then on to my favorite event of all time…The Otter. After a disappointing finish in my first Jr. Ex race at the 2008 Classic, I’ve been training with a vengeance in order to make that track mine.
Then from the Otter I don’t really know what my race schedule will be, however I do plan to race in Pro at Crankworx in August, in both the A-Line Race, and the Canadian Open DH Race. Lastly I also plan on shredding some of the famous freeride spots in Kamloops B.C. this summer.
Sooooo Pumped For 2009.
