So I got to thinking for all you athletes out there who are either active to stay fit and healthy or training for that big race what do you typically eat for breakfast – on a non-race, non-competition day?

For example:

rice cereal with blue berries followed by shake blended with rice milk, frozen strawberries, one banana and a scoop of protein supplement powder.

What do you eat for your first meal of the day?

Dang Bryan! Looks like big Lance prepared that b-fast. That’s a beauty! I typically go with oatmeal mixed with apple sauce, couple pieces of toast, some coffee. Oh, and a shot of bourban just to get my head right.

  2. RCP says:

A whey protein shake every morning along with seasonal fuit…and of course, some espresso.

  3. NJT says:

A chocolate covered chocolate donut and coffee from 7/11 does the trick for that daily commute.

  4. Armand says:

coffee, V8 Fusion and Cherrios with a coffee chaser. I might substitute oatmeal for the Cherrios, and I’ll sometimes throw a bagel into the mix too.

I have 2 soy sausage parties on honey whole wheat English muffin with low fat mozzarella cheese and coffee of course

Cheese Curds, Brats, and a PBR on non-race days. Coffee and Oatmeal with Bananas on race days.

Non-Race- Lucky Charms, Banana, and on weekends Bacon, Eggs, Beans, and Toast!
Race- Banana with a protein shake and lots of water!

Vitamins & Fruit Smoothie when I’m in a hurry… otherwise vitamins, Omlette, toast & Juice.

  11. Richard says:

    Yakult
Big glass of water w/ MultiVitamins, Omega3, Ginko, and B6
    Double espresso
    2 x toast w/ golden syrup

    Followed by either 10miles, 30miles, 60miles riding, or 2km swim, or 1hr core-strength gym.
